This policy explains what information CarModReview (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us by email or submit a form, we receive what you send — typically your name, email address, and message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools record standard technical data: IP address (often truncated or anonymized), browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent. This is aggregate data used to understand traffic and improve the site.
Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: - Essential — site functionality, security, remembering preferences. - Analytics — understanding which pages are useful (e.g., Google Analytics). - Affiliate tracking — recording that a purchase originated from our link, so a retailer credits us.
