Cold Air Intakes
Intakes are the cheapest bolt-on that promises horsepower, which makes them the most oversold part in the catalog. These guides sort them by fitment, price, owner ratings, and whether the thing is actually legal in California.

change which products we pick. How we pick.
What we check in this category
- Fitment — the year range the listing states, not the range the marketing photos imply.
- CARB status — an intake that isn't CARB-exempt is a $400 problem at your next smog check.
- Owner ratings, read properly — we read the one-star reviews first. A 4.7 average built on fitment complaints reads differently on page four.
- Price against the rest of the range — the best intake is usually not the most expensive one.
What we can't check: we don't run a dyno, so we don't print horsepower gains as our own finding. The full method is here.
